Position Summary

The Office Clerk is responsible for coordinating with Management Staff to ensure events are opened and closed at the appropriate times. The Office Clerk will also assemble required forms and ensure the workforce has properly filled out forms to completion. The Office Clerk will visit workforce locations to enforce all company policies and procedures related to food and beverage service. Additionally, the Office Clerk will check on P.O.S. system functionality, acquire end-of-day reporting, and ensure meal and break guidelines have been followed. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $17.00-$19.00

This is a seasonal role from June 25, 2026, and will end on September 30, 2026.

This position will remain open until August 28, 2026

About the Venue

The OC Fair & Event Center is a year-round event venue located in Costa Mesa, California. It is best known as the home of the annual OC Fair, but the property also hosts a wide variety of events throughout the year, including concerts, trade shows, festivals, sporting events, community events, conventions, and private gatherings. The OC Fair & Event Center serves as a major entertainment and community hub for Orange County, offering indoor and outdoor event spaces, exhibit halls, arenas, meeting rooms, and entertainment venues. The property features attractions such as the Pacific Amphitheatre, equestrian facilities, and event grounds that accommodate large-scale public events and corporate functions.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for supporting daily operations through scheduling, communication, and basic administrative tasks to help ensure smooth event execution.
  • Assist with employee scheduling and track any call-outs or changes
  • Communicate schedule updates and staffing needs to management
  • Complete and organize required daily operational forms and records
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate person or department
  • Prepare and distribute end-of-day reports and basic paperwork
  • Help track and organize uniforms, keys, and other issued items
  • Support general office organization and administrative tasks as needed
  • Maintain reliable attendance and follow company procedures
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in administrative support, office coordination, or event operations preferred
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) or similar tools
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management, and guests in a positive and respectful manner
