WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE?:

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Event Captain - Catering and Events (Seasonal or Permanent), these are the results you'll be hired to accomplish:

» ① Invisible, Guest-First Service

Deliver plates accurately and on time, answer menu and allergy questions confidently, and stay attentive without being intrusive.

» ② Well-Maintained Guest Areas

Clear plates, glassware, and trash quickly and often so dining tables, cocktail tables, and all other guest areas stay clean. 

» ③ Efficient Event Setup & Breakdown

Set up event spaces correctly at the start and break them down efficiently at the end, leaving the event space clean and better than we found it. 

PAY

We pay a base wage of $24.00 - $32.00 per hour, plus occasional client gratuities. Base wage depends on relevant experience. Gratuities are optional for our clients, but when they’re paid, they’re shared among the team at that event. Events requiring extended travel offer additional hourly premium pay.

WORK SCHEDULE

This position can be part-time or full-time, with a flexible schedule designed around the demands of our catered events. All-day, 6-10 hour weekend shifts are most common. Weekday shifts are also available, but typically reserved for full-time employees.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Here are some of our must-haves & would-like-to-haves:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • 1 year of professional serving experience strongly preferred - especially in Catering, Banquets, or Private Dining 
  • Must have a current ServSafe Food Handler Certification
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and keep up with fast-paced events
  • Must have regular Saturday availability 
  • Friday and Sunday availability strongly preferred
  • Must be able to work at least 2 events per month
