Position SummaryThe Healing Arts Practitioner (Non-Massage / Intuitive Modalities) supports Kripalu's Healing Arts department by providing professional, intuitive, and transformative wellness sessions. This role includes energy-based or metaphysical services such as tarot, astrology, guided meditation, and other non-bodywork modalities. Practitioners are expected to maintain a trauma-aware, ethical, and client-centered approach aligned with Kripalu's values.
Modalities May Include: - Tarot or Oracle Card Reading
- Astrology (Western or Vedic)
- Sound Healing or Vibrational Therapy
- Mind-Body Practices (guided meditation, Visualization Techniques)
- Intuitive or Psychic Readings
- Shamanic Journeying / Soul Retrieval
- Akashic Records Readings
Key Responsibilities - Provide heart-centered, ethical sessions within your scope of practice.
- Create a safe and inclusive space, respecting guest confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Tailor each session to the guest's needs and communicate with compassion.
- Prepare and reset the treatment space, manage scheduling needs, and complete documentation as needed.
- Participate in team communications, ongoing training, and seasonal department meetings.
- Adhere to the Kripalu Healing Arts Code of Ethics.
- Collaborate with front desk and supervisors to support the guest experience.
Schedule & Availability - Per diem with flexible scheduling.
- Must be available for at least one weekend day and one evening shift weekly.
- Seasonal fluctuations in guest volume may affect scheduling needs.
Qualifications - Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in at least one of the listed modalities.
- Demonstrated experience or relevant training in their modality (formal certification is not required where unregulated).
- Ability to maintain a grounded, trauma-sensitive, and compassionate presence.
- Clear verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in a retreat, wellness, or spa environment is preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred: - Familiarity with Kripalu's mission or a background in yoga, Ayurveda, or integrative wellness.
- Proficiency in multiple modalities.
Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this role, the practitioner may be required to sit or stand for extended periods, communicate in a clear and compassionate manner, and navigate Healing Arts spaces.

Work Location RequirementsKripalu does not provide employee housing accommodations. As such, candidates must have reliable transportation and the ability to commute to and from our
Stockbridge, Massachusetts campus for scheduled work hours. This is a
