Job description

Statement of Purpose
The QI (Quality Improvement) Coordinator is to support QI initiatives and projects, and coordinator with clinical staff, care providers and, community services.
Major Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the coordinator on special projects as assigned by the Director or HC Quality Management or executive leadership,
  • Develop and manage projects to support the BHS Quality Management Plan,
  • Engage in continuing education related to the 8 domains of healthcare quality competencies; quality review and accountability, professional engagement, quality leadership and integration, performance and process improvement, population health and care transitions, health data analytics, patient safety and, regulatory and accreditation,
  • Travel to the health centers and other sites as required in the project plan,
  • Attend any meetings or trainings as required by the project plan,
  • Develop and/or support any internal trainings relating to the scope of the project or initiative,
  • Serve as the main contact for the project and coordinate various communications as required by the project plan,
  • Track and report on measures as required by the project plan,
  • Troubleshoot and/or modify the project plan as needed or specified by leadership,
  • Supervise QI interns, volunteers and, QI staff as assigned,
  • Assist in training and testing of MA, care coordinator, quality and, nursing competencies,
  • Serve as liaison between BHS health centers, partner organizations and, professional associations (ie CCALAC, CPCA, NACHC),
  • Works collaboratively as a team member with all staff members,
  • Promote and believe in BHS mission statement,
  • Other duties, as assigned.
