Samaritans Purse is seeking a Domestic Logistics Associate, to join our Operation Christmas Child Department located in our Charlotte, NC Ministry Center. In this position you will be responsible for the coordination of key elements related to Domestic Logistics; supporting some 5,000 official drop-off locations, managing shipments, and all related invoices. A day in the life of a Domestic Logistics Associate:
At Samaritans Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotions and prayer. We hear from members of our staff, both from IHQ and our global offices, as well as a special guest speaker who encourages us in Gods word. We then join together to pray for one another, as well as praying for staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. We get paid to start each day this way!
In the role of a Domestic Logistics Associate, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Coordinate shipments for Domestic Logistics (DL) as needed. This includes shoeboxes, Gifts-in-Kind, and may include shipments to and from packing parties or promotional events.
  • Review carrier invoices for accuracy for DL managers to approve.
  • Support and monitor entries into the OCC Truck Coordinator database (LTS), ensuring accuracy by staff and volunteers.
  • Responsible for managing Samaritans Purse/Operation Christmas Child Collection Center information on the Samaritans Purse website, My OCC App and InnKeeper, tracking the details of address location, dates open, hours open, and public phone numbers.
  • Oversee the Drop-off Kit process. This includes materials prep, overseeing assembly, palletizing, and shipment of some 5,000 kits, as well as managing the staff hired for this process. Lifting up to 30lbs.
  • Curate surveys for CDOs and DOs Team Leads, then analyze and present results in clear, executive-ready reports highlighting key data, insights, and recommendations.
  • Receive, review, and respond to help desk tickets in a timely and professional manner, ensuring accurate issue resolution, clear communication, and a high level of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Associate's Degree (or one to two years related experience and/or training); or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Excel
