Job Description

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a highly motivated Temporary Seasonal General Laborer with a great attitude and strong work ethic. This position will support day-to-day field operations and assist with landscaping, vegetation management, and general labor duties.

This is a temporary seasonal position expected to last approximately 6-8 weeks. 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Loads and unloads equipment.
  • Trash and large debris pickup.
  • Performs mowing and weed-eating.
  • Performs weed cutting and removal.
  • Drives company vehicles.
  • Uses all power tools safely. 
  • Uses all equipment safely.
  • Landscaping  
  • Herbicide application 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Landscaping, mowing, weed-eating, or herbicide application experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a 5-year clean MVR.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and federal background check.
  • Ability to travel up to 8 week away from home at time. (Hotel accommodation and per diem pay paid by DCS)
  • Ability to lift 50-60 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Prior vegetation spraying, landscaping, painting, tree work, or grounds maintenance experience preferred.
  • CDL license is preferred but not required.

COMPENSATION/ SCHEDULE:

  • Pay: $20-22 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
  • Temporary seasonal position - approximately 6-8 weeks.
