Content Strategists are responsible for managing client accounts and executing content strategies that align with SEO/GEO goals. They oversee content creation, optimization, and performance tracking for assigned accounts. Content Strategists are expected to be proactive in managing client relationships, ensuring that strategies are executed effectively, and delivering high-quality content that meets client objectives.

Content Strategists should be able to handle multiple accounts simultaneously, maintain strong client communications, and ensure content is optimized for both SEO/GEO and user experience. They are expected to demonstrate leadership within their accounts, guiding the execution of content strategies while working alongside Senior Content Strategists and Associate Directors to achieve client success.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Content Strategy Execution: Develop and implement content strategies for assigned accounts. Work closely with internal teams (SEO/GEO, design, development) to execute content strategies and ensure timely delivery.
  • SEO/GEO & Performance Optimization: Monitor content performance and optimize strategies based on data insights. Provide actionable recommendations to clients for improving content performance.
  • Account Management: Independently manage a portfolio of medium to large client accounts, ensuring that content strategies align with SEO/GEO goals and client objectives. Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day client communications.
  • Client Communication & Reporting: Provide regular performance updates and strategic recommendations to clients. Ensure transparent communication on deliverables, timelines, and progress.
  • Content Creation & Editing: Write, edit, and deliver high-quality content for various formats (blogs, landing pages, etc.), ensuring it meets client needs and SEO/GEO requirements.
  • AI-Driven Content Production: Leverage AI tools and workflows to help produce content at scale, while maintaining quality, brand voice, and SEO/GEO standards. Contribute to refining and building out internal AI-assisted content systems and processes.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with internal teams to execute integrated content strategies. Ensure content is optimized for both SEO/GEO and user experience.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to content creation processes, ensuring that workflows are efficient and scalable.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, with a strong background in content strategy, editorial oversight, and SEO/GEO best practices.
  • Proven ability to develop and guide content production across multiple client accounts, ensuring alignment with brand voice, search intent, and strategic goals.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of coordinating freelance writers and ensuring timely delivery of content assets.
  • Curiosity, flexibility, and eagerness to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
  • An interest in developing your expertise in managing client accounts and executing content strategies.
  • Abilityidentify opportunities for account growth, including upselling content services and collaborating with Senior Content Strategists to create actionable growth plans.

The anticipated salary ranges for this position and subsequent locations are listed below. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, expertise, physical location, and organizational impact. This is based on a 40-hour workweek and leveling. Keep in mind, we’re flexible.
