Role Description:
Apartments.com is looking for a Senior Search Engine Marketing Manager responsible for driving high-volume performance through scalable growth. This role prioritizes smart bidding strategies, feed-based automation, and API integrations to expand B2C lead generation and traffic acquisition.
You will be responsible for our SEM operations, utilizing sophisticated, signal-based approaches to ensure market dominance through technical efficiency and performance at scale. The ideal candidate is skilled at making data driven decisions that impact large scale, measurable growth in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
This position is 5 days in our Atlanta office.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute SEM strategy across Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and emerging platforms

  • Own budget allocation, pacing, and optimization to maximize ROI and scale

  • Drive performance improvements across bids, keywords, creatives, and campaign structure

  • Build reporting frameworks and deliver actionable insights through dashboards and presentations

  • Lead testing and adoption of new features, automation, and growth opportunities

  • Partner with analytics, creative, product, and external teams to ensure data integrity and drive performance

  • Monitor competitive landscape and provide insights to sales and marketing teams

  • Explore and test ways to improve program performance utilizing AI techniques

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in person University or College in Marketing or other relevant field.

  • 7+ years of work experience in business, marketing, search (SEM/SEO) or related professional area.

  • Experience managing and optimizing $50MM+ annual digital marketing budgets across major performance marketing platforms and channels.

  • A track record of commitment to prior employers

  • Deep expertise in Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, including advanced campaign types.

  • Significant experience managing and scaling paid search budgets to drive measurable business impact, including managing a program within an organization in-house.

  • Strong analytical skillset with experience in Google Analytics (or similar), and advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.

  • Proficiency with conversion tracking, attribution models, and ensuring data integrity across platforms.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting performance insights and strategy to senior leadership and drafting written summaries.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA preferred

  • Knowledge/experience of multifamily industry a plus

  • Experience with marketing mix modeling (MMM) and applying model outputs to inform budget allocation and channel strategy

  • Experience working with large datasets and querying databases (e.g., Google BigQuery)

  • Experience with enterprise bid management platforms such as Search Ads 360

  • Experience leveraging business data and feed-based signals to power automated bidding and campaign optimization

  • Hands-on experience with tagging and tracking implementation

  • Familiarity with AI tools to automate workflows, generate insights, and enhance campaign efficiency
