Job description

Position Title: Sales Development Representative (SDR) 

Location: Remote, USA 

This position is 100% remote, with up to 20% travel.

Job Objective 

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Cloudelligent and reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), you will play a key role in generating new business opportunities and driving the adoption of AWS services among potential and existing clients. You’ll work closely with the sales team, engaging with leads and prospects, building relationships, and contributing to the growth of our sales pipeline. 

Responsibilities 

  • Initiate outbound campaigns to prospect and generate new business using lists and targeted campaigns. 

  • Qualify Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) through strategic outreach via cold calling, emails, and LinkedIn, and nurture them into viable sales opportunities. 

  • Work closely with Account Executives and the sales team to schedule meetings, follow-up on leads, and conduct demand generation activities. 

  • Communicate Cloudelligent’s value propositions effectively, addressing customer pain points and demonstrating how our AWS solutions can solve their challenges. 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key AWS contacts and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth collaboration. 

  • Meet or exceed monthly sales quotas by generating qualified opportunities and achieving daily outbound call targets. 

  • Capture, track, and advance leads using Pipedrive CRM, ensuring accurate data and seamless handoff to the sales team. 

  • Engage with prospects who showed interest but did not convert, maintaining positive relationships for future opportunities. 

Requirement 

  • 2+ years of experience in IT sales, with a focus on outbound sales or prospecting in B2B environments. 

  • Proven success in meeting or exceeding quotas, demonstrating strong sales skills and the ability to engage potential customers effectively. 

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with an ability to convey complex technical concepts in an easily understandable way. 

  • Experience in building and managing customer relationships, with a track record of generating leads and nurturing prospects. 

  • Eagerness to learn about cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and adapt to emerging trends in cloud services and IT solutions. 

  • Experience using CRM tools such as Pipedrive to manage and track leads and sales progress. 

  • Strong work ethic, ability to stay organized, and a proactive approach to meeting sales targets. 

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and cross-functional departments to meet business goals. 

  • AWS Cloud Practitioner certification (required within the first 30 days of employment)
