Job description

Basic Functions

The Program Manager will be responsible for managing and providing direction to a team of Project Managers and Project Analysts. This may be โ€œdirectโ€ management or โ€œindirectโ€ management. This position will project-manage cross-functional teams by working closely with all aspects of the product development community: Market Vertical, Product Manager, Engineering, Testing, Legal, and more. The Program Manager will also drive a portfolio of moderate to complex projects to completion while building development road maps and project schedules, and collaborating to resolve issues. This position has active involvement in managing multiple strategic projects that requires working with top Engineering resources utilizing our industry-leading technology.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of IT PMO experience
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in technology, finance, business, or equivalent experience required
  • Project governance certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, etc.) required

Accountabilities
  • Represent Engineering Project Management in cross-functional teams and operate as an SME in their respective portfolio.
  • Oversee Project Managers with moderate to complex projects.
  • Manage and encourage new ideas from staff to foster improvements through innovations.
  • Empower the staff to be accountable and responsible for their own actions and decisions.
  • Depending on scope and complexity, manage highly complex projects and some moderate projects each year.
  • Request and review resource allocation for project, program, and/or portfolio.
  • Participate in communicating impacts regarding capacity and demand.
  • Identify and make recommendations for improvement to existing processes and procedures.
  • Manage all phases of the project through the Product Development process.
  • Define key performance parameters and create regular variance reports to track progress.
  • Negotiate with Engineering Resource Managers for project resources.
  • Maintain compliance with corporate and public regulations.
  • Perform data analysis relevant to project tasks.
  • Request resource demand and review resource allocation for projects.
  • Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organizationโ€™s policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Ensure all staff is provided with training and resources needed to perform their jobs to the most outstanding degree possible. Ensure all staff is provided with frequent feedback and coaching in order to meet and exceed individual and team performance goals consistently.
  • Manage and encourage new ideas from staff to foster improvements through innovations.
  • Empower the staff to be accountable and responsible for their own actions and decisions.
  • All other duties as assigned.
U.S. National Base Pay Range

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $118,300 - $219,800. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. If performed in Maryland, the base pay range is $124,200 - $230,800. If performed in Ohio, the base pay range is $112,400 - $208,800. This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
