What is an SDLC Project Manager?

An SDLC Project Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing software development projects through all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). They coordinate teams, manage timelines, allocate resources, and ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements. Their role includes planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects, while mitigating risks and ensuring stakeholder communication. SDLC Project Managers use methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid approaches to guide projects from initiation to deployment.

How does an SDLC Project Manager typically collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout a project's lifecycle?

An SDLC Project Manager regularly works with cross-functional teams such as developers, QA testers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure each phase of the software development life cycle progresses smoothly. Additionally, they address potential bottlenecks by proactively resolving issues and aligning team efforts with project goals, making strong collaboration and organizational skills essential for success.
