Job description

About the Job:

We are seeking a Scrum Master with strong experience in Agile delivery and enterprise program management to lead complex transformation initiatives across technology and business domains. This role blends servant leadership, delivery governance, and end-to-end project accountability to ensure predictable, high-quality releases aligned with organizational goals.

The ideal candidate will drive Agile execution while owning project planning, stakeholder alignment, and delivery outcomes across cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, QA, Data, and Business stakeholders. This role requires balancing Scrum facilitation with traditional project management responsibilities, ensuring seamless coordination across multiple teams, dependencies, and release cycles.

Position Responsibilities:


Agile & Scrum Leadership

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews/Demos, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.

• Drive Agile best practices and ensure consistent adoption across multiple teams.

• Lead Scrum of Scrums / ART syncs to manage cross-team dependencies and alignment.

• Identify, track, and remove impediments impacting sprint and release commitments.

• Ensure sprint goals align with business priorities, timelines, and delivery milestones.

• Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives, metrics, and team coaching.


Project & Program Management

• Develop and manage end-to-end project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

• Define and track scope, schedule, cost, risks, and dependencies across initiatives.

• Manage RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and mitigation strategies.

• Drive release planning, roadmap alignment, and execution tracking across teams.

• Ensure adherence to SDLC, governance standards, and quality frameworks.

• Coordinate multi-team delivery across Agile and hybrid project environments.


Delivery Oversight & Execution

• Oversee delivery across engineering, QA, product, and business teams.

• Ensure high-quality releases through proper validation, testing, and defect management.

• Monitor key metrics such as velocity, burn-down, predictability, and defect leakage.

• Support integration efforts across systems, APIs, data platforms, and enterprise tools.

• Ensure release readiness, including environment stability, deployment planning, and rollback strategies.

• Drive on-time delivery while maintaining quality and compliance standards.


Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Management

• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, Product Owners, and technology teams.

• Facilitate alignment between business objectives and technical delivery plans.

• Provide transparent reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, and release readiness.

• Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts across teams.

• Support executive reporting and governance forums with clear delivery insights.


Leadership & Coaching

• Coach teams on Agile, Scrum, and hybrid delivery models.

• Mentor Product Owners on backlog prioritization, story refinement, and value delivery.

• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Drive adoption of DevOps, automation, and CI/CD practices.

• Facilitate root cause analysis and process improvements to enhance team performance.




Requirements

Required Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
• Overall 7+ years of experience and 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master working within Agile environments.
• Strong understanding of enterprise SDLC, Agile frameworks, and release management practices.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams across business and technology domains.
• Strong working experience applying project management principles.
• Experience managing complex dependencies in large-scale enterprise programs.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong servant leadership mindset with proven ability to resolve delivery impediments.



Preferred Qualifications:


• Experience working in retail or e-commerce domain
• Agile certifications such as SAFe, CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP.
• Experience supporting large-scale Agile programs or Release Train environments.




Benefits

Salary Range: $80,000 to $90,000 CAD/ year


The final compensation offered will depend on local market conditions and geographic location, as well as job-related factors such as the candidate’s knowledge, skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and education/training. Compensation may also include additional components such as benefits, and/or other incentives, where applicable.
