General Description

The Application Engineer will support supply planning processes and develop, maintain, and enhance extensions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This role works closely with operations, supply chain, finance, and IT teams to improve system functionality, automate business processes, and ensure accurate planning and inventory management.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Support and optimize supply planning, inventory replenishment, and procurement processes within Business Central.
  • Develop, customize, and maintain Business Central extensions using AL.
  • Design and implement integrations between Business Central and other business systems.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and data analysis tools to support operational decision-making.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and provide end-user support.
  • Participate in testing, deployment, and documentation of new functionality.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve supply chain efficiency and data accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience developing, customizing, and maintaining Business Central extensions and functionality is required.
  • Experience supporting supply chain, supply planning, inventory management, MRP, procurement, or related ERP processes.
  • Experience developing or supporting APIs, system integrations, or data migration involving Business Central or other ERP/business systems.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP implementation, configuration, application support, or troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of supply planning, inventory replenishment, procurement, and forecasting processes.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or Microsoft Power Platform is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with business and technical stakeholders.
