Job Description

As a Senior Content Developer, you will create engaging content that supports both documentation and training for Acumatica ERP. Your work will help Acumatica’s partners and customers gain the knowledge and skills they need to achieve their business objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop clear and comprehensive documentation for designated functional areas of Acumatica ERP, strictly adhering to corporate style guidelines and team processes. Keep documentation up to date with software releases. Revise legacy content to align with the current standards and best practices.
  • Design and develop training courses and skill assessments to help various learner personas grow their product expertise. Keep training materials up to date with software releases.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to improve the efficiency and quality of content development, including drafting, restructuring, summarizing, editing, and reviewing documentation and training materials, in accordance with Acumatica's AI usage policy, while ensuring that all final content is accurate, consistent, and aligned with Acumatica standards.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify user scenarios and information gaps for both documentation and training materials.
  • Assist in resolving learner issues related to documentation and training content, providing timely and effective solutions and recommendations.
  • Review UI labels and messages to ensure accuracy and consistency within designated functional areas.
  • Continuously improve the team’s standards, processes, and tools.
  • Assume the rotating Doc Watcher role. Serve as an entry point for external communication for the team. Triage the incoming queue of product changes that require documentation. Maintain the team’s working environment.
Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • A degree in English, technical writing, communications, or computer science or alternative credentials (preferred)
  • At least 3 years of experience in technical writing, content development, or instructional design in the software industry, preferably with Acumatica ERP or other ERP systems (required)
  • Experience using AI-assisted writing, editing, research, or productivity tools to support technical content development, instructional design, or content analysis (required)
  • Expertise in any of the industries Acumatica specializes in (preferred)
  • Prior teaching or training experience (preferred)

Skills:

  • Excellent writing and communication skills, ability to express thoughts in English in a clear, logical, and concise manner (required)
  • Advanced user of tools used for content creation, version control, and project and task management (required)
  • Knowledge of Acumatica ERP (preferred)
  • Expertise in any of the industries Acumatica specializes in (preferred)

Personal Traits

  • Self-motivated to create high-quality content even when specifications are in progress or not yet available, using a combination of interviews and hands-on experimentation with the product
  • Ability to communicate positively and forge effective working relationships with other members of the Acumatica team
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities
