Job description

Requisition ID: 267041
Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.

We are looking for a Senior Developer to join the ASIO team. This role is primarily focused on supporting, enhancing, and scaling production Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions that are critical to daily business operations. The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on experience in automation development and production support, with the ability to diagnose issues quickly, implement sustainable fixes, and continuously improve system reliability and performance.

While the core responsibility of this role remains RPA development and operational support, candidates with experience applying AI technologies in enterprise and IT operations environments will be given strong preference. This includes practical exposure to AI usage within platforms such as ServiceNow, GEMS, networking operations, cybersecurity services, or similar operational domains, particularly within a regulated financial services setting.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Lead the triage, investigation, and resolution of production issues related to RPA and automation workflows, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes, enhancements, and performance improvements for existing automation solutions.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise automation solutions using RPA platforms such as UiPath, Pega OpenSpan, or equivalent tools.
  • Work closely with business, operations, and technology teams to analyze processes and deliver new automation use cases.
  • Conduct application interrogation and technical feasibility assessments for automation opportunities in a regulated environment.
  • Participate in solution design and architecture discussions, providing technical guidance and recommendations.
  • Support the controlled introduction of intelligent automation capabilities, including AI, where there is clear operational value.
  • Ensure automation solutions meet operational stability, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Support CI/CD, release management, monitoring, and production readiness activities.
  • Maintain clear documentation covering solution design, workflows, operational procedures, and best practices.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving automation maturity, scalability, and resilience.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of seven years of hands-on experience in software development, with strong exposure to production automation or RPA environments.
  • Proven experience developing and supporting automations using RPA tools such as UiPath, Pega OpenSpan, or similar platforms.
  • Strong programming skills in C#, .NET, and JavaScript, along with experience working with APIs and modern application frameworks.
  • Solid experience with production support, including incident management, defect resolution, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as GitHub, Bitbucket, or Jenkins.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working within Agile or Scrum delivery models in fast-paced environments.
  • Hands-on experience applying AI capabilities in production environments to enhance automation solutions.
  • Experience using AI within enterprise or IT operations platforms, including ServiceNow, GEMS, networking operations, cybersecurity tools, or similar technologies.
  • Ability to identify and assess appropriate AI use cases within financial services or other regulated environments, taking into account data sensitivity, risk, and compliance.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled use cases such as intelligent ticket triage, alert enrichment, event correlation, document or log analysis, or decision support automation.
  • Understanding of data governance, access controls, and operational risk considerations within financial institutions.
  • RPA certifications such as UiPath Certified Advanced RPA Developer or Pega Robotics System Architect.
  • AI or machine learning certifications such as Microsoft Certified Azure AI Engineer Associate or IBM AI Engineering Professional Certificate.
