IBM Master Data Management (MDM) Developer


Hybrid 2-3 days downtown Toronto

Contract Duration ASAP- Oct 31st + 6 month extension


Introduction

Brunel is seeking experienced IBM Master Data Management (MDM) Developers to support a large-scale enterprise technology program within a major Canadian financial institution.

The successful candidates will join an enterprise development team responsible for supporting and enhancing IBM MDM capabilities, including master data services, integrations, data models, and downstream systems.

We are hiring at both the Intermediate and Senior Consultant levels and are looking specifically for hands-on IBM MDM developers with strong IBM InfoSphere MDM, Java, and SOAP web services experience.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and support enterprise solutions using IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management (MDM)
  • Develop and support MDM services and integrations using Java and SOAP web services
  • Support master data models, data additions, extensions, and enterprise data integration
  • Develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain MDM application components and services
  • Integrate IBM MDM with enterprise applications and downstream systems
  • Participate in requirements analysis, technical design, development, unit testing, and implementation
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and perform root cause analysis
  • Support application enhancements, defect resolution, and change requests
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, integration teams, and business stakeholders
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain technical documentation


Qualifications

  • Hands-on development experience with IBM Master Data Management (MDM)
  • Strong experience with IBM InfoSphere MDM
  • Strong Java development experience
  • Experience developing or integrating SOAP web services
  • Experience developing and supporting MDM services and enterprise integrations
  • Experience working across the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and implementation
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a large enterprise development environment
  • Senior candidates should have the technical depth to work independently and provide guidance to other developers



Nice to Have

  • Banking or financial services experience
  • Experience working with consulting firms (Big 4)
  • Experience with IBM WebSphere and DB2
  • Experience with MDM data modelling, matching, duplicate processing, or batch processing
  • Experience with IBM Product Master / MDM Collaborative Edition
  • Experience supporting single customer view or customer master data solutions
  • Previous experience within large Canadian financial institutions
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments
