The Inkhouse is the apparel decorating division of Slingshot. We provide high-quality embroidery and screen printing apparel to our campus stores located all across the United States. We are a creative, collaborative, and supportive team committed to quality craftsmanship.

Position Overview
The Screen Printer is responsible for executing daily production operations within our apparel decorating division. This role focuses on the skilled setup and operation of screen printing equipment, ensuring all jobs are produced accurately, efficiently, and to high quality standards. The Screen Printer works collaboratively with the production team to meet daily output goals and maintain equipment, directly contributing to the craftsmanship and timely delivery of products for our campus stores.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operation

  • Mix custom Pantone inks as needed.
  • Pull, count, and organize blanks for printing.
  • Set up and operate automatic and manual screen printing presses, ensuring accurate registration, color matching, and print quality.
  • Follow daily production schedules to meet customer deadlines, reporting progress to the Production Lead.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure equipment is kept clean and in good working order.

Quality Control

  • Inspect finished prints continuously for accuracy, durability, and consistency against work orders.
  • Troubleshoot and correct print issues during production runs to minimize waste and downtime.

Shop Safety & Organization

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production workspace.
  • Handle inks, chemicals, and solvents safely and responsibly, adhering to all shop safety protocols.
  • Support the team by maintaining an efficient workflow and assisting with other production tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in screen printing or a related print production role (preferred).
  • Technical knowledge of screen printing processes, including registration, mesh counts, and ink application.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Reliable, punctual, flexible, and capable of working collaboratively with a production team.
