Pay: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience
Join the EPI Apparel Team
Educational Products, Inc. (EPI) is seeking an Automatic Screen Printing Press Operator to join our Apparel team. This full-time position is responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining automatic screen printing presses to produce high-quality printed apparel.
Experience operating an automatic screen printing press is required. Experience with M&R equipment is preferred, but candidates with experience operating other automatic press brands are encouraged to apply.
While operating a press will be your primary responsibility, this is a team-oriented production environment. Depending on production needs, you may also support other apparel production functions or perform general warehouse and operations duties to help ensure the success of the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate automatic screen printing presses for production runs.
  • Load screens and verify artwork, registration, ink colors, and press settings before production begins.
  • Ensure the correct inks are used according to job specifications.
  • Monitor print quality throughout production, making adjustments as needed to maintain proper registration, color consistency, placement, and overall quality.
  • Inspect finished garments for accuracy and quality.
  • Troubleshoot routine printing and equipment issues.
  • Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs on press equipment.
  • Meet established production goals while maintaining EPI's quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Assist with press operations, apparel production, and other warehouse duties as needed.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and required personal protective equipment guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other areas of Operations when needed.

Qualifications
  • Experience operating an automatic screen printing press is required; M&R experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of automatic press setup, screen registration, ink systems, print quality, and production workflows.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Professional, dependable, driven, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
  • Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability and willingness to assist in other apparel, warehouse, production, or operations functions as needed.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to distinguish colors and inspect print quality.
  • Ability to work around industrial machinery in a warehouse production environment.
  • Ability to tolerate moderate to high noise levels.
  • Ability to work in seasonal hot and cold warehouse temperatures.

Schedule
This is a full-time position with a regular schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Additional hours, overtime, or schedule adjustments may be required based on production demands, workload, and business needs.
