Job description

The Penny Ice Creamery | Made From Scratch www.thepennyicecreamery.com The Penny Ice Creamery is seeking exceptional Shift Leads to join our Santa Cruz County teams. The Penny Ice Creamery is the only ice cream shop in Santa Cruz that makes ice cream completely from scratch, in house, using local and organic ingredients. We make unique flavors like Raspberry Rose, Golden Milk, New Orleans Coffee and Horchata Blackberry

We also make timeless flavors like Cookies n' Cream and Straight Up Strawberry, and our classics like Tahitian Vanilla Bean, Fresh Mint Chip, and Dark Chocolate. As a Shift Lead, you will create an excellent customer experience by scooping ice cream and making special items like ice cream sundaes and milkshakes. You will get barista-trained and make high quality coffee and tea drinks.

You will get trained on opening and closing the shop. You will also become an expert in making fresh sugar cones and marshmallow fluff from scratch. In addition to providing exceptional service, you will be a leader and role model for the staff.

During your shift, you will be responsible for maintaining the flow of business and the presentation of the shop, and holding everyone to our high standards of service and product quality. We operate four locations in Santa Cruz County: Downtown Santa Cruz Pleasure Point Aptos Village Scotts Valley Requirements Skills include critical thinking, problem-solving, prioritization, and leadership. Ability to work autonomously, and as a team player and leader.

Ability to effectively communicate and work in a fast-paced environment. Skilled in attention to detail and follow-through. Available to work on weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Available to work at least 20 hours a week on a reliable basis. Preference will be given to individuals with experience in leadership, but we are willing to train the right person. Benefits Perks Include: Tips (Approx.
