Scoops Ice Cream & Grille is hiring a Lead Line Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone who has kitchen experience and is ready to take on a leadership position, helping manage daily operations while maintaining high food quality and efficiency.

This position starts as part-time with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role.



About Us

Scoops Ice Cream & Grille is a well-known, community-focused restaurant in Mountville, PA. We serve fresh, made-to-order grille items and premium ice cream in a fun, welcoming environment. In addition to our main location, we operate four food trucks that cater local events, giving team members opportunities for variety and growth.

Schedule

  • 20–40 hours per week
  • Morning shifts: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Evening shifts: 2:00 PM – Close or 4:00 PM – Close
  • Closing times:
  • 9:00 PM (Sun–Thurs)
  • 10:00 PM (Fri–Sat)



Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food according to Scoops standards
  • Lead and support kitchen staff during shifts
  • Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen
  • Monitor inventory and assist with prep and stocking
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with team members during busy service



Qualifications

  • Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Dependable, punctual, and hardworking
  • Knowledge of food safety practices (ServSafe preferred)
  • Willing to train the right candidate



Work Location

In-person at Scoops Ice Cream & Grille in Mountville, PA, with potential opportunities to assist with food truck events.
