Job Description

SEAKR is looking for a high-energy, early to mid-career program manager who has a passion for leading the design, development, test and delivery of state-of-the-art satellite electronics. The PM is fully empowered to deliver the best possible product to our customers, on time and on budget. With that empowerment comes accountability, and a successful PM at SEAKR must be innovative and tireless towards accomplishing that high standard. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivery of program to schedule, cost, quality and performance parameters via coordination and directing all program activities for a moderate complexity program
  • Primary interface with customer community, vendors, and internal personnel
  • Motivate and provide leadership for broader program team
  • Manage interdepartmental requirements and resources across matrixed engineering department, including engineering, business development, contracts and finance
  • Create and maintain baseline schedules, changes logs, scope and costs along with monitor key metrics on program health
  • Develop and implement proactive risk management process
  • Lead cross functional efforts for major program gate reviews
  • Organize and manage change control process and support negotiation and change proposal efforts
  • Experience managing projects requiring Earned Value Management in a Cost Plus and Firm Fixed environment
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent is required. An advanced degree is desired.
  • 5-12 years of experience are desired.
  • Multi-dimensional skills such as working well with people, ability to self-teach, ability to lead and adjudicate technical decision-making, and drive to dive-in and help at any level or function when challenges arise are key characteristics for a successful PM candidate.
  • Prior Subcontract management experience desired
  • Prior experience leading teams on coordinated technical efforts
Additional Information

Compensation: Base salary range is $130,000- $180,000, depending on qualifications.

SEAKR has very rich medical, dental and vision insurance plans, along with a generous 401(k) retirement plan. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for a year-end bonus. SEAKR offers a variety of paid leave, such as vacation, sick, bereavement, and FMLA.
