Our programs are based on a proven, nationally recognized model, which originated in our flagship school, the Bronx Charter School for Excellence, a National Blue Ribbon School.

Who We Need
We are seeking a Data Analyst to support reporting, data quality processes, analytical projects, and data-driven decision making across the organization. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, develop actionable insights, and support operational and strategic initiatives through analysis and reporting.
The Data Analyst will also support quantitative analysis and data-informed planning to evaluate program effectiveness, monitor operational performance, and inform strategic decision-making across schools and organizational functions. This may include analyzing trends, assessing outcomes of organizational initiatives, supporting enrollment and operational planning, and supporting academic and operational reporting processes such as report cards and progress monitoring.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large datasets. This position is well-suited for a professional with strong technical aptitude and an interest in data analytics, reporting, statistical analysis, and operational problem-solving in an education setting.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
Reporting & Analytics
  • Create and maintain recurring reports, dashboards, and visualizations for operational and academic stakeholders.
  • Support report card, progress monitoring, enrollment, attendance, assessment, and other school-based reporting processes.
  • Conduct analyses to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support school and organizational goals.
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Quantitative Analysis & Strategic Support
  • Support analytical projects using quantitative and statistical methods.
  • Conduct trend analysis and support forecasting and planning initiatives using historical and operational data.
  • Analyze program effectiveness and operational outcomes to support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Identify patterns, risk indicators, and opportunities for operational and academic improvement.

Data Quality & Data Management
  • Perform data validation, auditing, cleaning, and quality assurance checks across multiple systems and datasets.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve data inconsistencies, missing values, and reporting anomalies.
  • Support efforts to improve data accuracy, consistency, reliability, and documentation practices.
  • Maintain documentation related to reports, metrics, business rules, and data processes.

Data Systems Support
  • Support the maintenance and monitoring of data systems and data warehouse processes.
  • Assist with data integration, transformation, and validation activities.
  • Troubleshoot data discrepancies, report issues, and address system-related data concerns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support operational and reporting needs across schools and departments.

Collaboration & Operational Support
  • Work collaboratively with school-based and central teams to understand reporting and analytical needs.
  • Support users with dashboards, reports, data interpretation, and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to analytics, reporting, and data governance.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant analytics experience; or Master's degree in a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with data analysis concepts and statistical methods.
  • Experience working with spreadsheets and datasets.
  • Basic proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
