Job description

Dashiellis a leading national provider of technical services to the electric utility, power generation, industrial, renewable and energy industries. These services include planning and systems studies, design and engineering, maintenance and testing, project management, construction, and turnkey EPC projects. Position Title: Project Scheduler
Location: 12301 Kurland Drive, Houston, TX 77034
Primary Function:
As a member of a project team, the Project Scheduler will be responsible for the development and maintenance of schedules to ensure timely completion of projects and other cost control measures.
Duties & Responsibilities
Employee may be called upon to perform any or all of the following functions:
  • Work with project management group to maintain project control documents
  • Select appropriate Negotiation Template
  • Issue Negotiation Schedule
  • Issue Preliminary Project Schedule
  • Coordinate project scheduling, tracking and forecasting to support project reporting
  • Update Project Schedule from Negotiation Template
  • Finalize Project Schedule and Manpower Requirements
  • Collect weekly/monthly updates
  • Provide special client requests i.e., Progress curves and reports
  • Provide exception reports to management and the project team
  • Issue "Redline" Schedule to clients
  • Issue other project control documents as needed
  • Other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications/Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management is preferred. A minimum of three years of experience in a construction environment is preferred.
Possess skills in the following areas:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in scheduling electrical material preferred
  • Prior experience with scheduling software such as Primavera and Microsoft Project
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team on a variety of projects to meet project deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills

Physical Requirements
  • This position requires minimal physical effort.
  • Must be able to endure prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer for a minimum of 8 hours a day
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work indoors, with occasional outdoor exposure to year around weather conditions and noise.
  • Must be able and willing to travel overnight for trainings and/or meetings as required (10%)
  • Working extended hours, including weekends, may be required periodically.
  • May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
