PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and manage daily and weekly schedules to maximize efficiency and meet customer expectation deliveries.
  • Responsible for scope and change management for baseline evaluation of projects.
  • Provide status and issues reports to managerial and responsible parties as needed or scheduled.
  • Maintain knowledge of software relating to MRP, spreadsheets, Smartsheet, and Project Management.
  • Utilize various software applications - such as spreadsheets, Smartsheet, Relational Databases - to assemble, manipulate, and/or format data and/or reports.
  • Participate in and lead continuous improvement efforts.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

FACILITY/GROUP-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Utilize the advanced planning and scheduling software and enterprise resource planning system to generate effective schedules for existing orders and estimate feasible lead time for new orders.
  • Deliver weekly schedules and long-term plans to achieve project deadlines.
  • Evaluate work order routing data, material commitments, and outside vendor processing PO data on a regular basis to ensure data integrity and work with respective parties to resolve data discrepancies when discovered.
  • Familiarize with product lines, machine capabilities, and operator skillsets to accurately assign resources to various activities.
  • Routinely monitor 'scheduled' versus 'actual' data for labor and material transactions to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Continuously monitor resource and operator capacity, and provide recommendations to management such as the need for overtime allocation, new machine purchase, etc.
  • Communicate with project responsible routinely to avoid unexpected delays.
  • Recommend feasible solutions when shop entities fail to follow target schedules.
  • Attend production meetings to confirm that planning scheduling information is up to date.
  • Produce periodic performance reports and assess shop performance against the organizational key performance indicators (KPIs) and local management requirements.
  • Produce periodic sales forecasts based on the schedules and potential new projects.
  • Work with the scheduling software architect team to establish business requirements and continuously improve software performance.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, or a related engineering discipline with 1-2 years of relevant experience; OR Associate degree in an engineering or supply chain-related field with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • APICS CPIM and/or PMP certification preferred.
