The Role We Want You For
Ventana is seeking a Schedule Manager to lead the development, maintenance, analysis, and communication of project schedules across small, medium, and large-scale construction projects. This role partners closely with Project Managers, Project Directors, Operations Leadership, field teams, and Executive Leadership to ensure project milestones are clearly defined, actively managed, and consistently achieved.The Schedule Manager will own schedule strategy from pursuit through closeout, maintain CPM schedule integrity, evaluate schedule performance, identify risks, and communicate impacts and recovery strategies across project teams. This position plays a key role in aligning project execution plans, contractual milestone commitments, production sequencing, and operational priorities throughout the full project lifecycle.
The Specifics of the Role
  • Serves as the primary scheduling partner to Project Managers, Project Directors, and Operations Leadership.
  • Drives accountability for milestone commitments across a portfolio of projects.
  • Coordinates internal and external schedule reporting through accurate data analysis, interpretation, and communication.
  • Supports project planning through milestone compliance reporting, look-ahead planning, critical path analysis, and recovery planning.
  • Leads cross-functional coordination efforts to resolve schedule conflicts and execution challenges.
  • Anticipates client, project team, and leadership concerns related to schedule and proactively communicates solutions.

Requirements
  • 5-8 years of progressive construction industry experience, with a strong emphasis on project scheduling.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Critical Path Method scheduling, including schedule development, updates, analysis, forecasting, and impact evaluation.
  • Advanced working knowledge of construction scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
  • Ability to independently manage project schedules from preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Strong understanding of construction operations, production sequencing, procurement/fabrication lead times, installation logic, and schedule-driven project execution.
  • Ability to collaborate with project management, operations, field leadership, and executive stakeholders to maintain accurate, executable, and recoverable project schedules.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to clearly present schedule data, risks, impacts, and recovery strategies to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with specialty subcontractor operations.
  • Experience with facade, curtain wall, glazing, building enclosure, architectural wall systems, or data center enclososures.
  • Familiarity with production tracking, installed quantities, progress measurement, procurement tracking, fabrication schedules, and milestone-based reporting.
  • Experience supporting time impact analyses, change management, delay documentation, and claims-related schedule narratives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

The Clayco Nationwide salary range for this position is approximately $85,000 - $110,000 +/- annually (not adjusted for location).
