Job description

The Senior Scheduler plays a crucial role in the project team, responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules to ensure timely and efficient completion of construction projects. This position serves as a senior-level expert in scheduling methodologies and tools, providing valuable insights and guidance to project teams and stakeholders. This position is fully onsite.ย 

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 DOEย 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, incorporating all relevant tasks, milestones, and dependencies.

  • Coordinate with project managers, department heads, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for scheduling purposes.

  • Monitor project progress and identify potential scheduling conflicts or delays, proposing solutions to mitigate risks.

  • Implement best practices for schedule optimization, resource leveling, and critical path analysis.

  • Communicate schedule updates and changes to relevant stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.

  • Provide regular reports on project schedule performance, highlighting areas of concern and proposing corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

  • Mentor and train junior schedulers on scheduling techniques and software usage.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: 4-yr Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering

  • Experience:

    • Proven experience in project scheduling, preferably in a senior or lead role.ย 

    • 7+ years combined experience in scheduling, construction, engineering, etc.

    • Project Engineering and / or field experience is a plus.ย 

  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address scheduling conflicts effectively.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

    • Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and precision in scheduling tasks and resources.

    • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    • Proficiency with computer apps, including Microsoft Office Suite

    • Proficiency in key software packages used in scheduling & construction management, including Primavera P6, Acumen Fuse, Smartsheet, Procore, Navisworks, Bluebeam, etc.

    • Demonstrated knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, & trade practices

Reports to:

  • The Senior Scheduler reports to the Schedule Lead, Schedule Manager, or another designated manager within the project management team
