Job description

For over 40 years our clients have trusted us to deliver live production, live events, and virtual production solutions for them, anytime, anywhere.

Purpose:

The purpose of this position is to coordinate logistic needs for remote broadcast facilities. This includes requests from clients and field staff in order to ensure that all necessary equipment is available for each show.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Assist Operations and Field Shop departments with equipment needs as they relate to client needs for NEP events.
  • Document and track all equipment needs and activities in the NEP work order system (Mas500).
  • Facilitate and analyze the efficient usage of NEP float equipment between all divisions of NEP using the scheduling system (ScheduAll).
  • Maintain the accuracy of float equipment in both the equipment database and scheduling systems (ScheduAll).
  • Resolve technical equipment issues through use of in-house support and/or equipment vendors.
  • Serve as the 1st call for equipment needs, and determine most efficient and cost-effective use for equipment.
  • Responsible for coordinating and negotiating equipment rentals with equipment rental houses.
  • Generate work orders and fulfill equipment rental needs for customers outside the scope of a truck rental.
  • Build and maintain interdepartmental and vendor relationships.
  • Assist Field Shop Technicians to determine equipment needs and create shipping orders.
  • Assist Field Shops with coordinating bin shipments to field staff.
  • Assist Operations in coordinating equipment requirements and provide proper shipping and rental invoices for appropriate job files.
  • Act as a liaison between the team members of the Engineering group and the Mobile Unit Engineers to direct phone calls and urgent inquiries.
  • Facilitate the sourcing and purchasing of maintenance parts and supplies.
  • Coordinate mobile unit maintenance activities with the mobile unit engineering staff by processing and tracking maintenance tickets in company SharePoint system (NEPnet).
  • Review and analyze technical reports and communicate concerns or projects to appropriate staff
  • Contribute to the organization and efficiency of the maintenance department.
Position Requirements:
  • 2 years logistics experience or equivalent required.
  • 4 year bachelors degree a plus
  • Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently.
  • Organized and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with meet tight deadlines.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience or knowledge of broadcast technology, equipment and production for major commercial and cable television networks a plus.
