Software Integration Engineer - GitLab/Wiki/Nexus - 6+ yrs of Experience - (Partial Telework) -TS/SCI w/Poly Clearance
Halogen Engineering Group is looking for a Software Integration Engineer who will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and
sustainment of various operational services such as GitLab, Wiki, Nexus, and JFrog's Artifactory as part of the CASA Compute Environment (CCE).
Location: Fort Meade, MD
Travel Required: No
Shift: Day
Remote Type: PARTIAL TELEWORK - 8 hours a week
On Call Support: Yes
Security Clearance: Current TS/SCI
Polygraph: Required (must be less than seven years old)
Salary Range
The projected compensation range is 218K - 225K (annualized USD)
Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements
Capabilities
  • Provide expertise in integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.
  • Ability to integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software.
  • Generate documentation for the full software stack.
  • Update software for sustainment support.
  • Basic Linux system administration skills and shell scripting.
  • Execute test codes for characterization of software performance.

Requirements
Required Skills
  • Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux suite of tools
  • Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python to automate administrative tasks and workflows
  • Experience performing Linux System Administration including installation, configuration, and support of COTS/GOTS/FOSS products packages, and libraries
  • Experience sustaining mission applications deployed in a Linux environment
  • Experience using Git for source control of system configurations
  • Experience creating CI/CD pipelines/workflows using GitLab CI
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker

Desired Skills
  • Experience installing, configuring, and managing package registry COTS products such as Sonatype Nexus, PyPy, GitLab, JFrog Artifactory, etc.
  • Understanding of software packaging frameworks (maven, pypi, npm, etc.) and their associated artifacts
  • Experience deploying containerized services under Kubernetes orchestration
  • Experience with interacting/training external customers
  • Experience with IaC principles and automation tools such as Ansible

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field and have at least six (6) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.

The individual shall have five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have six (6) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting
COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.
