Title: IT - SCDHHS - Quality Assurance Analyst -Consultant
Location: 1801 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29201
Position: Hybrid
Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Analyst -Consultant is responsible for performing comprehensive testing of technical solutions to identify, isolate, and resolve software issues. The consultant will develop testing strategies, execute test plans, document defects, and collaborate closely with development teams to ensure application quality and stability.
Daily Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform testing of technical solutions to identify defects and resolve issues.
  • Develop test plans, testing strategies, QA processes, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) documentation.
  • Create and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios.
  • Design and support user interface testing and regression testing activities.
  • Test software applications for reliability, functionality, and stability.
  • Perform negative testing and usability testing.
  • Lead quality assurance efforts that identify defects, security vulnerabilities, and optimization opportunities.
  • Design and execute automated testing scripts with oversight during deployment.
  • Produce quality assurance reports and testing documentation.
  • Follow established software testing governance policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Recommend improvements to testing processes and methodologies.
  • Maintain defect tracking databases and document product issues, user feedback, and enhancement requests.
  • Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, software developers, and engineers to improve application performance.
  • Participate in reviews, walkthroughs, inspections, and governance activities.
  • Document and support the development of test scenarios, test cases, and execution results.
Required Skills
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to:
  • Have 3 years of experience translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and test scenarios.
  • Have 3 years of experience building test cases and scenarios within testing environments.
  • Have 2 years of experience testing IBM Curam software.
  • Communicate testing results effectively to development teams.
  • Prepare and publish status reports detailing open defects, issues, and testing gaps
