Certified Medical Assistant

Join RKM and make a difference in the community by providing primary care in an ambulatory health setting as part of a primary care team. ย Since 1999, our mission is to provide open access to quality patient centered healthcare in the communities in which we live. RKM Primary Care is a Federally Qualified Health Center with 11 clinics in 5 parishes.

Direct Patient care:
This position delivers primary care in an ambulatory heath setting, as part of a primary care team:
  • Verify patient information, obtain vitals & document in EMR.
  • Interact with patient to obtain medical history & document in EMR.
  • Ensure all reports/labs are available.
  • Maintain specimens as ordered by the Provider.
  • Perform EKGs as ordered by the Provider.
  • Maintain exam rooms and equipment.
  • Record keeping.
  • Perform control checks for lab equipment.
  • Admin duties as directed โ€“ process phone messages/scanning.
  • Assist with team coverage through the organization as needed/requested.

Qualifications/Skills:
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification (Required).
  • Current Basic Life Support (Required).
  • Prefer experience in ambulatory care setting, preferred.
