Job Description:
SCOPE:Schedules patient appointments for diagnostic CT scans, CT scans for radiation treatment planning, PET scans, chest x-rays, and follow-up Gamma Knife MRIs. Obtains comparison studies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Scheduling of diagnostic procedures
2. Order and Documentation Management
3. Scheduling of all Follow-Up Gamma Knife MRIs
4. Authorizations/Pre-certifications
5. Patient Coordination
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of healthcare scheduling, medical office, imaging, oncology, or related experience preferred.
  • Previous experience scheduling MRI, CT, PET/CT, Radiation Oncology, or other complex diagnostic services strongly preferred.
  • Oncology experience preferred.
  • LPN or MA preferred.
