Responsibilities

  • Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
  • Set stops and guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
  • Position work piece against stops or align layout marks with dye or blade.
  • Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.
  • Measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
  • Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from work piece.
  • Produce parts according to quality standards.
  • Use and setup safety equipment in assigned work center.
  • Able to reproduce all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
  • Able to read tape measure
  • Able to read and understand blueprints
  • Ability to learn and operate various machines in Fabrication department
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Able to work overtime as needed.
