Job description

About Scale Media

For the past 12 years, Scale Media has been building and scaling science-backed wellness brands. Our portfolio of brands, including Live Conscious, 1MD, and Essential Elements, has grown to nine figures in revenue while operating profitably with no external funding.

Our team is made up of operators, marketers, and builders focused on products consumers actually trust. We're investing heavily in data and AI to sharpen how we develop products and scale brands.

We believe the best decisions come from data, curiosity, and continuous learning. We value high ownership, candid feedback, and thoughtful execution. As a fully remote company, we lead with clear communication, accountability, and trust, and we give people real room to grow and make an impact.

Scale Media has been recognized as one of Forbes' Best Startup Employers, a Great Place to Work, an Inc. Best Workplace, and an Inc. 5000 company.

If you take ownership, think for yourself, and like solving hard problems alongside people who do the same, you'll fit right in.

The Role

We're looking for a Director of Growth to lead paid acquisition strategy and performance across our portfolio of DTC wellness brands. You'll own growth across Meta, Google Search, and other paid acquisition channels, with accountability for customer acquisition efficiency, media buying systems, attribution, and scalable revenue growth.

This is a highly operational role. We're looking for someone who still wants to be in the campaigns reviewing performance, pressure-testing strategy, improving systems, and making real optimization decisionsโ€”not someone who only manages dashboards and meetings.

You'll partner closely with the Creative, Ecommerce, Brand, and Analytics teams to improve acquisition performance across the full customer journey. You'll also play a major role in helping us modernize and redesign growth workflows using AI-enabled systems and automation.

You'll report directly to the VP of Growth.

What You'll Own

  • Paid acquisition strategy: Full ownership of growth strategy across Meta, Google Search, YouTube, and other paid channels.
  • Media buying systems: Campaign structure, testing frameworks, budget allocation, audience strategy, bid strategy, and optimization systems.
  • Acquisition economics: CAC, MER, ROAS, LTV, contribution margin, and overall acquisition efficiency across the portfolio.
  • Creative feedback loops: Partnering closely with Creative teams to improve testing velocity, creative quality, iteration systems, and performance insights.
  • Attribution and reporting: Improving reporting infrastructure, attribution systems, forecasting models, and decision-making frameworks.
  • AI-enabled growth operations: Redesigning campaign management, reporting, analysis, and optimization workflows using AI tools and automation.
  • Agency and vendor management: Managing external partners where relevant while maintaining strong internal ownership of strategy and execution quality.
  • Team leadership: Raising the operational and analytical standards of the Growth organization while helping develop a stronger bench of talent internally.

What Success Looks Like

  • Efficiently scaled customer acquisition across portfolio brands
  • Stronger acquisition economics and media efficiency
  • Faster testing velocity and better optimization systems
  • Improved attribution clarity and reporting infrastructure
  • Better integration between Growth, Creative, and Ecommerce
  • AI-enabled workflows that improve speed and decision-making quality
  • A higher-performing growth organization with stronger operational rigor

What We're Looking For

  • Deep paid acquisition expertise. You've managed meaningful spend across Meta and Google and understand how to scale consumer brands without losing efficiency.
  • Strong operator instincts. You know how to identify what actually moves performance and where teams waste time or complexity.
  • ย Analytical sophistication. You're comfortable living inside performance data, attribution models, and forecasting frameworks.
  • Creative judgment. You understand the relationship between media buying and creative performance, and you know how to help teams improve both.
  • AI fluency. You actively use AI tooling to improve workflows, analysis, execution speed, and team leverage.
  • ย Hands-on mentality. You still want to be close to the workโ€”not just overseeing it from a distance.
  • ย Cross-functional leadership. You can partner effectively with Creative, Ecommerce, Analytics, and executive leadership without creating unnecessary process overhead.
ย 7โ€“10+ years of relevant experience in one or more of the following:
  • Growth leadership at scaled DTC brands
  • Performance marketing leadership managing large consumer budgets
  • Agency leadership with deep ecommerce and acquisition expertise
  • Operators who have helped scale brands from early traction to significant revenue scale

Preferred, But Not Required

  • Experience in supplements, wellness, beauty, or consumer subscription businesses
  • Experience managing eight-figure paid media budgets
  • Familiarity with modern attribution tooling and MMM frameworks
  • Experience leveling up junior-heavy organizations
  • Experience operating across multi-brand portfolios

What We Offer

  • Salary: $200,000 - $300,000
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance
  • Fully remote, full-time position
  • Monthly work-from-home stipend
  • Generous paid time off program
  • Discounted products
  • An amazing team to work alongside
