Application Systems Engineer (SAS Admin/Support/on-call support):
General duties/responsibilities:
    Build, Test and Maintain SAS codes and data sets
    Experience using SAS Management Console (SMC).
    Creating Users/Groups/Roles
    Creating and securing folders
    Creating and using Access Control Templates
    Creating, deploying and scheduling jobs

Qualifications
Requirements:
    Experience with SAS Configuration Wizard to administer SAS deployment
    Experience monitoring Logs from within SMC
    Experience defining Servers and changing server definitions
    Experience creating SAS and DBMS libraries
    Experience with SAS Environment Manager
    AIX Server Skills
    Understanding server security and folders and how they relate to SAS folders and security.
    Knowledge of SAS configuration files such as autoexec, configuration and environment files.
    Starting and stopping servers.
    Korn shell scripting as it pertains to SAS servers.
    GPFS
    Ability to configure SAS servers to run within a SAS GRID environment.
    Assist with SAS capacity and disaster recovery planning and execution.
    Experience using SAS GRID Manager within the SAS Management Console.
    Experience SAS Grid Manager Client Utility and grid syntax.
    Experience with Enterprise Grid Orchestrator and Grid Management Services (GMS).
    Experience with Platform RTM for SAS.
    Experience with LSF Platform Process Manager as it pertains to a GRID environment (e.g., troubleshooting, configuration, installation, etc.).
    Experience enabling SAS code to run on the GRID in a SAS/Foundation environment (enabling EG and EM processes to run on the SAS GRID).
    Experience reading SAS logs to determine GRID errors and whether GRID is functioning correctly.
    Experience configuring SAS for High Availability within GRID environment - including Metadata Server.
    Experience designing SAS GRID architectures for optimal SAS deployment within a customer's environment.
    Analyzing SAS GRID technical environment options and deployment architecture, including Grid node configuration.
    Working with SAS GRID-related high availability and failover requirements, including storage architecture and configuration (NAS / SAN configuration).
    Backing up and restoring SAS within a GRID environment.
    Experience with and applying SAS GRID usage tracking, monitoring, alerts notification and load balancing.
    Assessing and optimizing performance of the SAS GRID environment.
    Managing all GRID nodes from a centralized location.
    Adding nodes to the GRID environment, or reconfiguring nodes.
Other Requirements:
    Minimum of 6+ years of SAS experience in a medium sized SAS environment (100-120 users)
    5+ years of Oracle and Unix experience
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills - must be able to effectively communicate with business users and IT teams
    Self-motivated, independent worker with good organization, analytical and problem solving skills
    Knowledge of Data Warehouse terminology, architecture and design
    Solid understanding of SAS statistical modeling capabilities and terminology
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
