SAS Developer

Full-time

Posted 23 days ago

Job description

1) 2+ years of experience with SAS Data Integration Studio (SAS DI Studio)
2) 5+ years of programming experience in an applications development or consulting environment utilizing SAS.
3) 2+ years of SAS Data Management Studio

Project/Role Overview: Like the positions on this team, these roles will also be dealing with their Marketing Data Warehouse and Marketing data.
The goal of this project is for the DataMart to be ran more efficiently. When prospect data is collected, SAS scores that data in order to determine where that data should go (i.e.; someone clicking on a website versus someone opening a targeted email, etc.). They want to take this scored data and decrease the time it takes for it to get to the sales team. This SAS Developer will rewrite and/or write new SAS code to get "as close to" real time data to sales people based on peoples' behavior.
Top Skills: 1. SAS Data Integration Solutions (DI)
2. SAS Data Management Studio (DM)
3. Data Warehouse knowledge
The learning curve for someone who only has basic SAS batch skills and no DI/DM will be too large for what they need out of this individual.
Team Culture: The manager has 5 direct reports; 2 of those managers oversee 7 people each. Tech PMs and one Web Tester. One of these managers are a SAS Manager who these Java and SAS individuals will report to. The team is very senior. They are very good at what they do, and have each other's backs. They are very organized; these contractors will come in with clear direction of what they need to do. If someone does feel overwhelmed, they expect her managers to step in and figure out how to alleviate any issues with that individuals. The team uses Jira and Confluence to manage their project, create clear project plans and track deadlines.
