Location: Hybrid- 3 days per week onsite at our Herndon, VA office

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated FinOps Analyst to support cloud financial management across multiple platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP. This role will be responsible for cost optimization, financial reporting, and collaborating with solution owners and stakeholders to drive cost-efficient cloud usage. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities, and comfortable presenting FinOps insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. A strong ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve issues is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud spending across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments
  • Develop and deliver regular financial reports and insights to solution points of contact (POCs) and leadership
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, and business teams to implement cost optimization strategies
  • Track budgets, forecasts, and variances for cloud services
  • Create dashboards and reporting tools to provide visibility into cloud usage and costs
  • Present FinOps topics, recommendations, and best practices to stakeholders across the organization
  • Support governance processes related to cloud financial management
  • Independently troubleshoot discrepancies in cloud billing, reporting, and usage data without requiring guidance
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to cost anomalies, tagging inconsistencies, and reporting gaps
  • Assist in identifying and implementing automation opportunities for cost tracking and reporting 

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP)
  • Strong understanding of FinOps principles and cloud cost management strategies
  • Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve technical and financial discrepancies
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • FinOps certifications from the FinOps Foundation (e.g., FinOps Certified Practitioner, FinOps Certified Professional)
  • Hyperscaler certifications such as:
    • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect, or Cost Management-related specialties
    • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Azure Administrator, or Azure Solutions Architect
    • Google Cloud Digital Leader, Associate Cloud Engineer, or Professional Cloud Architect
  • Experience with SAP products such as BTP and HANA
  • Familiarity with cost management tools (e.g., native cloud cost tools or third-party platforms)
  • Basic coding/scripting skills (e.g., Python, SQL, or similar)
  • Experience building dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar
  • Knowledge of automation and cloud-native financial tooling

The targeted annual combined range for this position is 90000-198500USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process.
