Properly configuring authorization roles is critical for protecting sensitive business data and preventing unauthorized access.

One common issue is ensuring that users have the appropriate permissions for their job functions without granting excessive access, which can lead to segregation of duties (SoD) conflicts. Staying current with compliance standards and effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders are also key aspects of the role.
