Detailed Job Description
We are looking for an experienced SAP FI-RAR Consultant with strong functional expertise in Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR) under IFRS 15 / ASC 606. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SAP RAR configuration, integration, contract accounting, and end-to-end revenue recognition processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Implement and support SAP FI-RAR modules across business units.
• Configure and customize RAR components, including contract identification, performance obligations, and revenue posting.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Support end-to-end revenue recognition processes, including data migration, testing, and cutover.
• Experience specializing in design, configuration and RAR integration with FI, SD and/or BRIM.
• Knowledge of BRF+ is highly desired.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS 15 / ASC 606 accounting standards.
• Liaison with business and create accounting BRDs, functional and technical specifications
• Work autonomously and in teams to drive the design solution for the projects.
• Prepare functional documentation, test scripts, and user guides.
• Adept at designing and implementing SAP-enabled business solutions for clients as part of a high-talent team.
• Core Finance - General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Controlling, Costing, Treasury, Revenue Recognition, IFRS compliance
• Develop your knowledge of and gain project experience in SAP's new S/4HANA Finance and future solutions
• Require robust verbal and written communication skills including business and functional requirements, management level presentations and proposals presentation.
Required Skills & Experience
• Two full life cycle implementation experience with SAP RAR module.
• Proficiency in SAP RAR configuration and integration.
• Strong understanding of practical business scenarios and knowledge of SAP RAR, including error handling.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA is essential.
• Hands-on experience with:
o RAI (Revenue Accounting Items)
o POB (Performance Obligation) setup
o RAR posting logic
o Event-based revenue recognition
• Experience with integration (SD/FI/BRIM).
• Good understanding of IFRS 15 / ASC 606 compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and client-facing capabilities.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
SAP certification in FI or RAR is a plus.
Minimum years of experience needed in the required skills- 5 -12 Yrs
Minimum over all work experience required - 15 yrs
