SAP RAR Functional Support Analyst

Job Summary

The SAP RAR Functional Support Analyst will provide post-go-live production support for the subscription billing modernization solution migrating from a legacy platform to SAP. This role will act as the primary support owner for SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting processes, ensuring accurate revenue contract creation, event processing, allocation, posting, and reconciliation across wholesale, retail, and subscription business scenarios. The analyst will work closely with OTC, GL, ABAP, and BTP support teams to investigate issues, resolve production incidents, and maintain stable revenue accounting operations.

Required Skills

•    Strong functional experience in SAP RAR

•    Good understanding of revenue recognition concepts including contract modification, allocation, deferral, and recognition timing

•    Experience supporting integrated business flows tied to billing and finance

•    Ability to analyze end-to-end issue impacts across source transactions, SAP processing, and accounting results

•    Experience with production support, incident handling, root cause analysis, and reconciliation

•    Ability to work closely with OTC, GL, ABAP, and integration teams

•    Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred Skills

•    Experience in subscription billing or recurring revenue models

•    Knowledge of ASC 606 and/or IFRS 15

•    Experience in legacy modernization to SAP

•    Familiarity with interface-driven SAP landscapes

•    Experience in hypercare and steady-state support model

Key Responsibilities

•    Provide functional production support for SAP RAR processes after go-live

•    Monitor and resolve issues related to inbound revenue accounting events and contract creation

•    Investigate failures in revenue allocation, postings, contract updates, fulfillment events, and recognition runs

•    Analyze source transaction impacts across wholesale, retail/trial, and subscription enrollment/renewal flows

•    Perform functional triage for RAR defects and coordinate fixes with ABAP and BTP teams where interfaces or custom logic are involved

•    Partner with OTC and GL teams to resolve upstream billing issues and downstream accounting or reconciliation issues

•    Support month-end and period-end revenue recognition activities

•    Reconcile source events, billed transactions, and revenue accounting outcomes

•    Identify configuration, mapping, or master data issues affecting revenue processing

•    Support testing for bug fixes, transports, enhancements, and production changes

•    Document issue patterns, root causes, workarounds, and support procedures

•    Assist business and finance users with incident resolution, transaction analysis, and audit support
