Job Description:


Role Summary

  • The Supply Chain Functional SME is responsible for providing deep functional expertise across core SAP ECC supply chain processes within a large global organization.
  • This role acts as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders, supporting solution design, process optimization, incident resolution, change delivery, and continuous improvement across the end-to-end supply chain landscape.
  • The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience in SAP ECC, with experience in modules, Sales and Distribution (SD) and Production Planning (PP), supported by good functional understanding of Materials Management (MM) and Warehouse Management (WM).


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for SAP ECC supply chain, with particular focus on SD and PP and working knowledge of MM and WM. Guide and advance on design and ensure standard practices is followed.
  • Partner with business stakeholders across regions to understand operational requirements and translate them into practical SAP solutions.
  • Lead functional analysis, solution design, configuration changes, testing, and business process alignment for enhancements, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Project and Continues Improvement initiatives, ensuring requirements documents, effort estimations and technical specifications are accurate and clear.
  • Change control, regression testing and solution end to end testing to ensure quality robust deployment of solution.
  • Provide expert support for production issues, root cause analysis, and defect resolution, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Work closely with vendor and technical teams, integration specialists, and third-party partners to ensure solutions are aligned to enterprise architecture and global standards.


Required Experience and Technical Skills

  • Experienced SAP functional, consultant, or business systems expert in SAP ECC supply chain environments.
  • Strong knowledge in SAP SD and SAP PP, including a clear understanding of their integration points with upstream and downstream processes.
  • Good working knowledge of SAP MM and SAP WM, including procurement, inventory management, warehouse processes, and stock movement concepts.
  • Experienced in requirements gathering, design documents, functional specifications, and support solution delivery.
  • Experience with testing activities including unit testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and defect management is required.
  • Experience working in collaboration with ABAP developers, integration teams, support teams, and business process owners.
  • Good understanding of IT service management, change control, and project delivery disciplines.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • SAP certification is advantageous.
  • Experience in manufacturing supply chain industries is strongly preferred.
