Overview

FGF Brands is growing and we need more talented Sanitation Technicians to join our growing team!

As a team member, the Sanitation Technician is responsible for the cleanliness of the factory facility, equipment, and public areas. They prioritize personnel and food safety at all times. This is a night shift position. 

Responsibilities

  • Effectively cleans food manufacturing production equipment.
  • Understands and follows all assigned tasks and abides by all safety requirements.
  • Continually meets our commitment to achieve superior service and cleaning levels.
  • Inspects equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and plant standards.
  • Cleans specific pieces of equipment by tearing down equipment, cleaning with appropriate chemicals and re-assembling equipment.
  • Performs inspections on equipment cleaned, to verify cleaning effectiveness.
  • Ensures compliance with work instructions, standards & product specifications.
  • Ensures compliance to all safety & environmental regulations are achieved & provides direction to team to accomplish these goals.
  • Performs washdowns for changeovers and shutdowns.
  • Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
  • Maintains all areas of Plants including Depositing, and Packing. Using broom, mop, dustpan, squeegees, gather and empty trash, etc.
  • Follows attendance policy. Observes department call-in procedures. Exhibits timely arrival and departure and dependable time habits including meal and other breaks.
  • Maintains a positive attitude and gets along well with coworkers.
  • Exhibits teamwork and willingness to help others.
  • Follows dress code and maintains a professional appearance.
  • Can be relied upon to complete assigned tasks.
  • Complies with established Departmental and Organizational policies and procedures.
  • Works within a team environment to meet/exceed established production standards.

Requirements

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • (Highly Preferred) Sanitation experience in regulated manufacturing environments such as FDA or USDA regulated facilities, especially those operating under GMP, SQF, and/or HACCP standards.
  • Hands-on experience following LOTO, GMP, and safety procedures while tearing down, sanitizing, inspecting, and reassembling production machinery to meet regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 1-2 years of experience in sanitation, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and manage time safely and without damage.
  • Ability to work with pressure washers, floor scrubbers, sanitizing chemicals, Forklift, scissor lift, etc.
  • Must have experience working in a GMP environment doing manufacturing or sanitation.
  • Must be knowledgeable in areas of chemical usage with a Food Manufacturing facility.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50+ lbs., able to stand on feet for the shift, able to be physically active and work on a ladder or at heights.
  • Knowledge of proper Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) use as it applies to chemical usage.
  • Basic written and verbal skills.
  • Multi-tasking & attention to detail skills required.
  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal or written communications
