We are seeking an enthusiastic, service-driven, and detail-oriented Reservations Agent to be the first point of contact for our future guests. Must live within commuting distance for regular training purposes.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a passion for hospitality and sales. As a Reservations Agent, you will play a key role in maximizing resort bookings, delivering exceptional guest service, and creating memorable first impressions that inspire guests to choose Sandestin for their stay.

Position Summary

The Reservations Agent’s primary responsibility is to capture as many reservations as possible by utilizing effective sales techniques while delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires strong communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations.

The ideal candidate is courteous, self-motivated, organized, and passionate about providing world-class hospitality experiences.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and emails in a professional, friendly, and timely manner
  • Book reservations for overnight accommodations accurately and efficiently
  • Assist guests by recommending and securing future reservations and vacation packages
  • Promptly follow up on guest inquiry leads to maximize second-chance bookings
  • Manage multiple phone calls and reservation requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Provide detailed information regarding resort accommodations, amenities, dining, activities, and surrounding attractions
  • Send brochures, confirmations, and requested resort information to prospective guests
  • Utilize proven reservation sales techniques to increase occupancy and revenue
  • Input accurate reservation details into the reservation management system
  • Maintain and update guest profiles, preferences, and account information
  • Manage daily correspondence and operational tasks to exceed guest expectations and expand customer loyalty
  • Deliver the highest standard of customer service to all guests and internal departments
  • Demonstrate strong computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Support special projects and operational initiatives as assigned
  • Professionally represent the resort within the community and hospitality industry
  • Collaborate effectively with all departments to support resort operations
  • Provide constructive feedback and maintain a positive team environment
  • Serve as a professional role model and team player across all departments
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership, Ownership, Senior Vice President, or General Manager

QualificationsEducation & Experience
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school preferred; or
  • Three to six months of related hospitality, reservations, sales, or customer service experience; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous experience with TRACK Pulse and/or Springer-Miller Systems (SMS) preferred
  • Hospitality, hotel, or resort reservations experience strongly preferred
  • Must live within commuting distance to the resort even though it is a remote role.

Availability

Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Team members must have flexible availability to work:

  • Days
  • Evenings
  • Weekends
  • Holidays
  • Peak seasonal business periods as needed

Physical Requirements
  • Most work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled office environment
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods, up to 5 hours per day
  • Walking and standing are required throughout the remainder of the workday
  • Must be able to move throughout the resort property as needed in a timely manner
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Must be able to push and pull carts or equipment weighing up to 250 pounds occasionally
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, stretch, and reach as needed
  • Requires repetitive use of hands, wrists, and fingers for typing and operating office equipment
  • Requires manual dexterity for computers, printers, copiers, telephones, and office equipment
  • Requires continuous talking and hearing for guest and team communication
  • Requires continuous near vision and depth perception for computer and reservation system use
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motions including writing, typing, standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods
