About the Role:

To provide beach towels and sun care products to guests and owners.  Help in maintaining a safe and enjoyable swimming and relaxing environment to all guests.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures equipment and area are clean and stored in a safe manner.
  • Sets up pool hut and check towels in and out.
  • Maintains proper care, use, and arrangement of all pool equipment.

Supportive Functions:

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, at the discretion of the manager based on the particular requirements of the hotel.

 

  • Acts in a courteous, helpful, and efficient manner when dealing with guests and owners.
  • Straightens and cleans the pool areas on a daily basis and all pool hut storage areas as needed.
  • Be knowledgeable of the pool and surrounding areas in order to convey information to the guests.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  • Enjoy working in an outside environment.
  • Knowledge of outdoor activities and swimming required.
  • Must be able to tolerate environmental conditions, sometimes extreme.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., carry, reach, bend, and twist.
  • Must have a positive attitude.

Qualifications:

Education:

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to being enrolled in high school. High School diploma or GED preferred. 

Experience:

Prior guest services or other hospitality experience preferred.

Licenses and Certificates:

None required.
