Job description

Job Summary:
Rush University Medical Center is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to leverage Salesforce for developing complex workflows and customizations within their ecosystem. The role involves collaborating with business leads to customize software solutions, coaching junior developers, and ensuring effective execution of development plans.
Responsibilities:
• Manages complex work critical to the organization in an Agile environment.
• Makes recommendations to mitigate risk and provides solutioning recommendations.
• Develops software applications, workflows, and configurations to meet customer needs.
• Leads in testing and debugging issues, sprints, and grooming sessions.
• Supports the deployment of changes to production.
• Understands and follows through with business requirements during all phases of development.
• Transforms design into functionality; tests and maintains layouts and other components to enhance user-experience.
• Interprets written business requirements and leads team to deploy solutions.
• Leads the development of custom solutions and interfaces on the Salesforce Lightning platform using Apex, Triggers, Visual Force, Lightning Web Components, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Creates and delivers documentation, training and communication for feature(s) and process change.
• Participates in release management and continuous integration processes.
• Creates installation, troubleshooting, and end user documentation.
• Communicates effectively within the RUMC (Rush University Medical Center) organization across all teams.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or 5+ years related IT work experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in Salesforce.
• 5+ years’ experience documenting requirements, designing in a Salesforce enterprise environment.
• Strong ability to understand requirements and how the Salesforce platform can provide effective solutions.
• Extensive experience with web services: executing calls and interpreting responses (REST or SOAP).
• Proficiency in test-driven development: building, writing, and automated integration testing.
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git) or similar.
• Deep Understanding of the Lightning Application Programming Interface (API).
• Experience with scrum and other agile based methodologies of software development.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
• Salesforce Developer Certification.
Preferred:
• Knowledge of Salesforce Analytics (Einstein).
• Knowledge of Salesforce Service Cloud.
• Knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
• 2+ years working with MuleSoft.
