Job description

A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Commercial Sales Manager within Grid Technologies, you will serve as a key commercial partner supporting the sales organization across the U.S. market. Your day may include reviewing and negotiating customer contracts, managing commercial bid approvals and Limit of Authority (LoA) processes, supporting bid preparation activities, conducting pipeline reviews, and analyzing commercial performance trends. You will work closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, Production, and Distribution teams to ensure commercial compliance, profitable growth, and efficient order execution. This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic sales decisions while driving commercial excellence across the full sales lifecycle.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Lead the commercial review and negotiation of customer contracts, ensuring alignment with business objectives, financial guidelines, risk management requirements, and commercial compliance standards
  • Manage the Commercial Bid Release process, including preparation and coordination of Limit of Authority (LoA) submissions, bid approvals, and commercial documentation required to support successful bid execution
  • Support bid preparation activities by providing commercial guidance, evaluating contractual risks and opportunities, and conducting win/loss analyses to strengthen future sales strategies and business performance
  • Manage order entry activities and conduct regular pipeline reviews in partnership with sales leadership to support forecast accuracy, commercial visibility, and revenue growth objectives
  • Serve as a liaison between customers, sales, production, and distribution teams to support order fulfillment, issue resolution, and effective cross-functional collaboration throughout the sales process
  • Prepare commercial and financial analyses, variance reporting, and management updates while supporting system enhancements, process improvements, and strategic business initiatives

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial sales, contract management, bid management, financial analysis, sales operations, or a related commercial role within a corporate environment
  • Strong knowledge of contract review, contract negotiation, commercial terms and conditions, risk assessment, pricing analysis, sales operations, and commercial compliance practices
  • Experience working with SAP, Salesforce, and other business systems, with the ability to independently manage commercial analyses, contract reviews, bid processes, and reporting activities
  • Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced commercial environment
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
