Job description

The Marlin Alliance is seeking a forward-thinking Salesforce Developer to provide client support to our Navy client. This is a hybrid role and applicants must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Position Description:

As a Salesforce Developer for the Joint Tactical Networking Center (JTNC), you will report to the Software Solutions & Innovations Directorate (SSID) Directorate Lead and Deputy. The Salesforce developer will be responsible for developing and customizing Salesforce solutions to meet our organization’s needs. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the functionality and features of our Salesforce CRM platform, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and provides an efficient, user-friendly experience.

Location:

San Diego, CA (Hybrid) - Naval Base Point Loma

Clearance:

  • Must currently have or be eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance indoctrinate into Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) control systems desired.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, client requirements, and company goals.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other developers to create scalable, efficient solutions on the Salesforce platform.
  • Implement Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, and the Lightning Component Framework.
  • Manage daily support and maintenance of internal Salesforce instances and conduct long-term improvement operations to ensure compatibility with evolving mission requirements.
  • Communicate with team members and other departments to understand their needs and provide technical solutions in Salesforce.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation including technical specifications, project plans, and deployment guides.
  • Conduct unit testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of Salesforce applications.
  • Stay updated with new Salesforce features and functionalities to provide recommendations for process improvements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality.
  • Proficient with Apex, Visualforce, and Salesforce Lightning.
  • Experience with Salesforce Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and integrations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience leading Salesforce projects for Federal Customers like the Department of Defense (DoD) (e.g., Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps)
  • Familiarity with DoD IT/cloud information systems

Preferred Skills/Certifications:

  • Salesforce Developer Certification - Platform Developer I or II is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality.
  • Proficient with Apex, Visualforce, and Salesforce Lightning.
  • Experience with Salesforce APIs and integrations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
