Job description

Own the platform. Shape the strategy. Build the solution. We're looking for a hands-on Salesforce Architect who enjoys designing enterprise solutions as much as building them. You'll lead the technical direction of our Salesforce platform while partnering with business and IT teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

WHO WE ARE
Empowering Connections, Inspiring Possibility

SageNet is a leading managed services provider specializing in connectivity, digital signage, and cybersecurity. Headquartered in Tulsa, OK, with regional offices across the U.S., SageNet connects, manages, and protects technologies and devices across widely distributed enterprises, serving customers in industries such as retail, finance, healthcare, utilities, and energy.

SageNet’s nationwide infrastructure includes 24/7/365 U.S.-based Network and Security Operations Centers, geographically diverse teleports, multiple data centers, a national logistics center, and a nationwide field services organization. The company manages communications for more than 430,000 endpoints across the country.

What makes SageNet unique is its Why: a passion for Trusted Connections. This is a two-fold commitment. First, SageNet delivers secure, reliable, and innovative technological connections for its customers. Second, and just as importantly, the company works tirelessly to build trusted human connections with its customers, partners, and communities. By creating and nurturing these trusted connections, SageNet enhances the world that connects us all.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

We are seeking a Salesforce Architect who blends deep Salesforce expertise with strong hands-on development skills, someone who can design scalable solutions and actively build and optimize them. In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable Salesforce solutions (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud, etc.), including custom development with Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC), while guiding a small cross-functional team through the full software development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across IT and business units to gather requirements and translate them into high-quality Salesforce solutions that drive business value. This position is ideal for a proactive problem-solver who is passionate about both strategic architecture and hands-on execution.
Major Duties and Responsibilities

Platform Architecture & Development

  • Define and support the technical direction for the Salesforce platform in alignment with enterprise data, integration, and security strategies.
  • Manage a multi-org environment supporting marketing, lead-to-quote, order management, and service management.
  • Perform hands-on development using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and complex integrations to implement scalable and maintainable solutions in Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud.
  • Own architectural standards, governance frameworks, design reviews, and the platform roadmap.
  • Design and optimize data models, automation, and Salesforce security/sharing configurations to ensure data integrity and compliance at scale.
  • Develop strategies for large data volumes (LDV) and performance optimization.
  • Direct data migration planning and execution for major releases.
  • Manage identity and access controls including SSO, OAuth, SAML, and all other identity & access management (IAM) considerations.
  • Design and implement integration and middleware strategies with enterprise systems such as SAP, ServiceNow, custom applications and external systems using APIs and integration tools.

Business Partnership & Solution Design

  • Partner with business stakeholders to conduct discovery sessions, gather requirements, and map business processes.
  • Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
  • Provide guidance on Salesforce capabilities, limitations, and solution trade-offs to support informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to ensure Salesforce capabilities support key business priorities.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security standards, AI initiatives, and delivery frameworks.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Technical Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead the end-to-end Salesforce software development lifecycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, deployment, and release governance.
  • Establish coding standards, perform code reviews, and maintain DevOps processes including Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Design deployment strategies across environments and monitor delivery performance.
  • Lead and mentor a small Salesforce team of developers and admins.
  • Serve as a primary Salesforce technical expert and foster a culture of excellence.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Evaluate new Salesforce features, AppExchange products, and platform innovations, and recommend improvements.
  • Balance out-of-the-box capabilities with custom development while considering long-term technical debt.
  • Troubleshoot platform issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.

WHO YOU ARE

You are a technical leader and problem-solver with deep Salesforce platform expertise and strong hands-on development experience. You take ownership, work effectively across teams, and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions aligned to business needs.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience with Apex, LWC, Flows, and integrations.
  • 3+ years in a Salesforce Architect or senior technical role.
  • Advanced experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and API integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce data architecture, security/sharing models, and governor limits.
  • Experience with Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Einstein/AI capabilities.
  • Experience with enterprise integration patterns, middleware, and ETL tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi).
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security compliance, and identity & access management (IAM) technologies.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Application Architect, System Architect, Technical Architect, and Data Architecture.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, including user story definition, backlog management, and release planning.
  • Proven ability to lead full software development lifecycle (SDLC) execution and delivery.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor developers and administrators.
  • Experience driving adoption, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong architectural governance experience and ability to enforce standards and best practices.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, including at the executive level.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to align technical solutions with business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Additional certifications such as Salesforce Security Specialist, Integration Architect, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred.

  • Experience in telecommunications and/or retail industry environments.
  • Experience working in complex, multi-system enterprise environments.
