Job description

Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
EnFin is a residential solar lending and TPO platform that finances solar installations through a network of dealer partners. We originate, service, and securitize solar loans and TPOs across the U.S., operating at the intersection of clean energy and consumer finance. Our growth has been rapid - and with that growth comes the need to build the operational infrastructure to match. We are looking for a seasoned FinOps and Payment Processing leader to own, stabilize, and transform our milestone disbursement and installer payment operations. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone who thrives in complexity, is energized by bringing order to dysfunction, and has the technical chops and leadership credibility to drive real change. This role is not for a process documenter. We need a builder and an operator - someone who can diagnose the root causes, earn the trust of the team, design the right future state, and execute the transition without breaking what's working. You will have a direct, measurable impact on a function that is critical to the business - this is not a supporting role. You will own the transformation agenda with real authority and leadership support. EnFin is at an inflection point - this is an opportunity to build the FinOps infrastructure for a scaling platform in a high-growth sector.
This position will be based out of one of our offices in Irvine, CA; San Francisco, CA; Santa Clara, CA or Teaneck, NJ, with a potential in-office schedule set at the direct manager's discretion in accordance with the company policies and procedures. Remote work may be considered for exceptional cases.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Milestone Disbursement Operations
  • Own the end-to-end solar milestone disbursement process - from M1 through M3 - ensuring timely, accurate payments to dealers and installers.
  • Establish and enforce milestone verification standards and controls in coordination with the Risk and Dealer Management teams.
  • Define SLAs for disbursement processing and hold the team accountable to them.

Installer Ledger Integrity
  • Design and maintain accurate, audit-ready installer ledgers across the full dealer network.
  • Reconcile and consolidate historical disbursement data currently fragmented across Salesforce, external systems, and manual spreadsheets.
  • Develop a single source of truth for installer-level financial positions, funding history, and outstanding obligations.

Systems & Data Transformation
  • Assess current Salesforce configuration for FinOps workflows and lead remediation efforts - in partnership with the Salesforce admin/engineering team - to improve data architecture.
  • Eliminate manual spreadsheet dependencies by designing scalable, system-native processes and data flows.
  • Identify and implement best-in-class disbursement tooling, automation, or integrations where appropriate.

Team Leadership & Culture
  • Directly manage and develop a team of FinOps analysts and payment operations specialists.
  • Establish performance expectations, coaching cadences, and a culture of accuracy and accountability.
  • Serve as a stabilizing, credible leader who can drive through organizational friction and resistance to change.

Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Partner closely with Sales, SalesOps, Risk, to align disbursement operations with contractual obligations (including MESPA/LLCA terms).
  • Support JV reporting requirements with clean, reliable disbursement data.
  • Interface with external capital providers and JV partners on funding-related matters as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field with 12+ years of professional work experience including 8+ years of progressive work experience in FinOps, payment operations, or financial operations leadership - with increasing scope and responsibility.
  • Direct experience with solar or clean energy lending desired, with a working understanding of milestone-based disbursement structures (M1/M2/M3 or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated success leading operational transformation in a dysfunctional or high-growth environment - not just maintaining a steady state.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce as a financial or operational data system - including identifying limitations, working with admins/engineers to remediate, and designing better data flows.
  • Track record of consolidating fragmented, manual data environments into structured, reliable systems.
  • Experience managing and developing small-to-mid-size operational teams through change.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in residential solar, home improvement loan / TPO space, or similar asset-backed consumer lending platform.
  • Familiarity with dealer/installer network management and the operational complexity of multi-party funding flows.
  • Exposure to MESPA, LLCA, or similar solar lending agreement constructs.
