Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China.
The CRM Developer, with direction from the Director, CRM and key business stakeholders, designs, develops, and supports CRM solutions that enable business operations and customer engagement. This role is responsible for the implementation, customization, and integration of Salesforce technologies to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
The CRM Developer ensures the stability and performance of the Salesforce platform through development, system integration, testing, and ongoing support. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions that drive efficiency, data accuracy, and customer experience improvements. This position is in office 5 days per week in North Kingstown, RI.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Designing, developing, and deploying custom Salesforce functionality, including integrations and automation.
  • Supporting system integrations across internal and third-party platforms using APIs and middleware tools.
  • Ensuring platform reliability through proactive monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
  • Supporting Marketing Cloud initiatives including automation, subscriber data management, and campaign enablement.
  • Maintaining data integrity, governance standards, and system performance across CRM and connected systems.
  • Contributing to application standards, documentation, and development best practices. The scope of system enablement extends beyond CRM platforms to include the support and enablement of additional technology solutions, such as:
  • AI development and integration
  • Warranty Management System
  • Customer Contact Center Solutions (voice, text, ai-driven support)
  • Email Marketing platforms
  • Additional data-handling SaaS applications

Technical Leadership & Business Collaboration
  • Collaborate with the Director, CRM and business stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Lead implementation of customer-driven solutions using strong technical design skills and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Develop, document, and enforce application standards, procedures, and best practices.

Development & Innovation
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, and related technologies.
  • Build and enhance applications on the Force.com platform to meet evolving business needs.
  • Develop SQL, SOQL, and other queries to support automation, integrations, and reporting needs.
  • Configure triggers, automations, and API-based processes to support system functionality and integrations.

Integration & Platform Management
  • Integrate Salesforce with internal and third-party systems (e.g., Kafka, Nifi, FormAssembly, AS/400, and other enterprise applications).
  • Ensure service-level availability and reliability of the Salesforce platform and connected applications.
  • Provide support for break/fix issues, enhancements, and system performance improvements.
  • Assist with planning, development, and deployment of application changes, upgrades, and new releases.

Data, Quality & Operational Support
  • Maintain data structures and ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across platforms.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues through strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance, automation, and overall user experience.

Qualifications
Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce development tools including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning frameworks.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and integration patterns.
  • Understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and web services.
  • Proficiency with SQL, SOQL, and Ampscript.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of Salesforce or CRM development experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with Force.com development tools (Apex, Visualforce, APIs, Metadata tools).
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise systems and middleware platforms (e.g., Kafka, NiFi).
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I, App Builder) required; Platform Developer II preferred.
  • Experience with modern front-end technologies such as Lightning, Angular, or React preferred.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. Regularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear.
