THE ROLE

The lead software engineer is responsible for delivering solutions throughout the software development lifecycle with a focus on developing solutions at an advanced level with an adherence to standards and internal best practices within our Salesforce platform supporting Distribution, client service, and marketing functions. May serve as a team lead for small to midsized projects working with project management, business systems analysts and quality assurance to collaboratively meet tight deadlines.

The ideal candidate brings 5-6+ years of professional experience, deep Salesforce platform expertise, and demonstrated success delivering secure, compliant, and scalable CRM solutions in regulated financial environments.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

Salesforce Technical Skills

  • Provide hands-on technical expertise across Salesforce development, including:
    • Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura
    • Declarative automation (Flows, Validation Rules)
    • Event-driven and API-based integrations
  • Contribute to design of solutions to ensure:
    • Alignment with financial services data models (accounts, contacts, households, intermediaries)
    • Secure handling of confidential client, advisor, and investment data
    • Platform scalability and long-term maintainability


Delivery & Execution

  • At an expert level, contribute to the design and development of Salesforce solutions which end users need for mission critical functions
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA, and Release Management to design, code, debug and unit test solutions for delivery
  • Ensure sprint commitments support business priorities while meeting compliance standards
  • Develop solutions that fit within disciplined SDLC practices, including:
    • CI/CD pipelines
    • Version control and branching strategies
    • Environment and release governance
  • Document code and processes to aid in system support and facilitate knowledge transfer.
  • Examine workflow and recommend ways to increase efficiency or effectiveness.Help to standardize processes across projects.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Serve as a trusted technical partner to business leaders across Distribution and Operations
  • Translate business needs into compliant and scalable technical solutions
  • Work with system integrators and development partners, ensuring quality and accountability
  • Provide clear, concise status updates to technology leadership and stakeholders


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • 5-6+ years of overall professional experience
  • 3-5+ years of Salesforce development experience
  • Proven success contributing to Salesforce solutions in financial services or similarly regulated industries

Technical Skills

  • Expert-level Salesforce development skills (Apex, LWC, SOQL, Flows)
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security model and data access controls
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise systems (APIs, middleware, data platforms)
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, Copado, Gearset, or similar
  • Strong grasp of scalability & performance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Salesforce certifications (one or more of the following):
    • Platform Developer II
    • Application Architect or System Architect
    • Salesforce Financial Services Cloud experience
  • Experience supporting financial services, investment management, or institutional distribution platforms
  • Experience deploying generative AI in regulated environments
  • Familiarity with enterprise AI governance frameworks
  • Understanding of AI ethics and responsible AI principles

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Base Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $158,500.00 This position is eligible for competitive incentive bonus.

This range reflects our good-faith expectation forwhat we'll pay depending on the candidate's experience, training and education. In addition to the salary, we also offer significant and competitive incentive compensationbased on both individual and company performance. Other components of our Total Rewards Package include:
